At FF's, we pride ourselves in being more than just a league; we're family. Everyone is so much more than a recognized screen name and we thought it was way past due in getting to know everyone beyond the names and the "hi and gl's". Here's our new feature to celebrate staff and players. Since we can't post everyone on here at once, we will have one TD in the spotlight per newsletter and 4 players in the spotlight per newsletter.

Now it's time to read on and learn more about the people behind those names. The featured TD in the spotlight for this newsletter is Mamiesavalanche_AOL. The 4 players in the spotlight this month are Terrytee1965, MBNLARSEN, Starlinerbytanya, and chancemarcucci. Read on and get to know your opponents, your teammates, your friends, and your extended family

Spotlight

TD of the Month Mamiesavalanche_AOL

1.) Okay, give us the scoop please.. What was it that made you decide to become a td? Was it the lure of that beautiful smiley badge or something else?

It seemed like a lot of fun! I was not very good while playing in the tours, so I decided to host them instead. And yes the beautiful smiley badge had something to do with it.......lol J/K!!

2.) Can you tell us why being a td is something others should consider?

I think it is a great feeling being able to provide the tours, that the players love to play so much!!

3.) Where do you live, what do you do for fun, give us the inside scoop into your life beyond the "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO."

I live in Northeast Indiana. I like to hang out with my husband and family. But that is while not on the internet, with all my ffs peeps :p

4.) Any hobbies? Anything you collect? What's your favorite things to do when not contributing your free time to the league?

I love scrapbooking & making cards. I have 2 English Bulldogs and I breed them normally once a year. So that has become and exciting part of my families lives. I am a home body, so anything at home and I am happy. Cookouts, tv, family, computer, etc.

5.) Describe to our players.. what's it like on the other side when going from player to hosting?

As I said earlier it is a great feeling. And LOADS of fun!!

6.) Does your screen name hold any special meaning to you, or have any meaning behind it at all?

Well kind of......Mamie is my nickname. And my truck is an avalanche......so thats it mamiesavalanche!

7.) Is there anything you would like to tell or remind our players about when mistakes happen during a tour?

I am sure that the players know this already, but everyone makes mistakes. And while hosting you are multi-tasking to the max. You are chatting, giving pairs, announcing winners, screen shots, short keys, and answering questions. So mistakes are bound to happen from time to time. But we are willing to go the extra mile to fix it and make it right!!

8.) And last but not least ... do you have a special quote or saying that holds some special meaning to you to share with the rest of us?

Not really......but when I do bad in a tour, I always try to remind myself "Don't hate the player, hate the game!" I love all the games, but I also try not to be hard on myself if I am having an off day.

Story/joke of the day.. Payback at it's finest

Jennifer's wedding day was fast approaching. Nothing could dampen her
excitement -- not even her parent's nasty divorce. Her mother had found the
PERFECT dress to wear and would be the best-dressed mother-of-the-bride ever!
A week later, Jennifer was horrified to learn that her father's new young wife had bought the exact same dress as her mother! Jennifer asked her father's new young wife to exchange it, but she refused.
"Absolutely not, I look like a million bucks in this dress, and I'm wearing it,"
she replied.
Jennifer told her mother who graciously said, "Never mind sweetheart. I'll
get another dress. After all, it's your special day." A few days later they went shopping and did find another gorgeous dress. When they stopped for lunch, Jennifer asked her mother, "Aren't you going to return the other dress? You really don't have another occasion where you could wear it.

Her mother just smiled and replied, "Of course I do, dear. I'm wearing it to the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding."
NOW I ASK YOU - IS THERE A WOMAN OUT THERE, ANYWHERE, WHO WOULDN'T ENJOY THIS STORY?

Send any jokes you want submitted to the newsletter to HazelAngelEyesXO@aol.com so we can feature it in the next newsletter. Just keep it clean.. well, somewhat clean.  If you have a poem, a story, a recipe.. anything you want to share with others, please be sure to submit it.
